A site prone to flooding from a nearby water course, a step in level up to the public highway of 2.5 metres, the presence of a Transport For London highway retaining structure protruding into the site, diversion of adopted foul and storm drainage running across the site were just a few of the problems to overcome.
McCarey Simmonds’ expertise in modern timber framing techniques is being employed to design the superstructure.
