We work with a number of developers paticularly in London, but also in the south and south east of England and can greatly assist with initial assessment of sites and development of outline planning proposals. Our services include:

Environmental

  • Type 1 Desktop Environmental Study, involving providing historical maps for the site area and commenting on published ground water vulnerability and radon data.
  • Type 2 Study Environmental Study, which includes for the items above, along with providing interpolation of site-specific Landmark Environcheck information regarding environmental sensitivity, hydrogeology, landfill sites, pollution incidents etc on or in the vicinity of the site. The study will include an assessment of the potential for there to be contamination on or around the site and will comment on the possible effects of such contamination.

Geotechnical

  • Geotechnical sub-soil investigation, which includes for soil strength testing and provision of a full interpolative report. Allowance can be made for such things as installing a standpipe to allow ground water monitoring.
  • Flood Risk Assessments. Preparation of flood risk assessments for new developments on flood risk areas. Drainage assessments. Assessment of current and future flood risks. Modelling flood risk. Design of flood alleviation schemes.

Utilities and infrastructure

  • Investigation of the existing utility infrastructure at a proposed development, which includes for visiting site and carrying out a photographic survey of apparatus in the area. We can contact all utilities in the area of the proposed site and request existing plant information, we can ascertain each utilities ability to serve the site and can include obtaining on-site budget prices, off-site reinforcement costs, diversion and disconnection costs and provide a summary CDM Utility Services Report.

Preliminary feasability design

  • Providing one to two days of engineering input to allow for providing initial scheme information in order for an initial cost plan to be developed by clients Quantity Surveyor.
